"Love is Blind"

This project was inspired by a poem I found on TikTok written by @waitingforautumn.

As I worked on this series, "Love is Blind," I explored my past experiences and how it felt to struggle to let them go. This body of work is rooted in the deep sense of emotional and physical distance that exposes the damage in oneself and the relationships they hold. The series does not depict a singular story or event but explores general emotions.

Much of this project revolves around the blindfold, symbolizing the growing distance between two partners. One had given up on seeing, while the other refused to do so. In a literal sense, a subject that is blinded physically cannot connect with their partner. Due to their internal conflicts and wounds, the hurt individual refuses to acknowledge their partner, looks away, and feels cold. In contrast, their partner cannot let go of the person. They themselves are far too blinded by the love they hold to stop trying. Even bearing the weight of feeling alone despite being beside one another.
